A meeting of the Board of Directors of Southern Platte Fire Protection District was held Friday, April 30, 2004, at Station Four, 8795 N.W. N Highway, Kansas City, Mo.

Nelson Hopper acting as Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. via a teleconference. Present at the meeting were Director Gary Judd and Director Nelson Hopper. Also present was Fire Chief Richard Carrizzo and Division Chief Fiser

Minutes of the April 21, 2004 meeting that had been previously e-mailed to the Directors were accepted upon motion made, seconded and passed unanimously.

The following Old Business was brought before the meeting:

1. Apparatus Update: Chief Carrizzo presented the four bids that were received on or before the bid opening, April 28, 2004 at noon for the sale of 1-1987, 1-ton Chevy pickup with tank and pump.
They were as follows:

1) $2,812.00
2) $3,505.00
3) $4,890.00
4) $5,879.25

Chief Carrizzo recommended that that all bids be accepted and to sell to the highest bidder, Carpenter Auto. If they did not want the truck at sale time to sell to the next bid, Rusty’s Auto Sales.

Director Judd made a motion to sell the said vehicle to the highest bidder then to the next bidder if the first defaulted; President Hopper seconded the motion. Vote was taken and passed unanimously.

There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was adjourned at 9:12 p.m.
