The Southern Platte Fire Protection District is capable of handling nearly any emergency that would occur in our district.

- High-angle rope rescue.
- Ladder truck-assisted rescue.
- Fire inspection.
- Fire investigation.
- Grasslands fire suppression.
- Hazardous-materials decontamination.
- High-volume water shuttling in rural water area within district, with automatic response by water tanker trucks from neighboring fire districts.
- Large-scale, multi-agency operations with mutual-aid agreements for additional firefighters and equipment with Kansas City Fire Department, Riverside Public Safety, and Gladstone Public Safety.
