SECTION 7. DELETIONS, ADDITIONS, MODIFICATIONS AND AMENDMENTS.

(D) Section 1301.1 shall be added to the Uniform Fire Code, 1994 Edition, as follows:

Section 1301.1, Fire Drills. Practice drills in the conduct and manner of exit in case of fire shall be held at least once a month in all schools and at least once every two months in hospitals, nursing homes and businesses with more than two (2) occupied floors. A record of all fire drills shall be kept and persons in charge of such occupancy shall file written reports with the Fire Inspector, giving the time and date of each drill held. In schools, fire drills shall include complete evacuation of all persons from the building. In all other occupancies required to conduct fire drills, such drills shall be conducted to familiarize group and operating personnel with their appointed positions of emergency duties. In all occupancies required to conduct fire drills, all exits and doors shall open outward and shall be kept unlocked while such buildings are occupied.
