SECTION 7. DELETIONS, ADDITIONS, MODIFICATIONS AND AMENDMENTS.

(B) Section 1001.8 of the Uniform Fire Code, 1994 Edition, is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 1001.8 Obstruction of Fire Protection Equipment. No person shall place or keep any post, fence vehicle, growth, trash, storage, or other material or thing near any fire hydrant, fire department connection, fire lane, or fire protection system control valve that would prevent such equipment or hydrant or fire lane from being immediately discernible or in any other manner deter or hinder personnel or equipment of the Fire District from gaining immediate access to said equipment, hydrant, or fire lane. A minimum five (5) feet clear space shall be maintained around the circumference of the fire hydrants and a minimum of five (5) feet clear space from the radius intersection point at the curb or street line shall be maintained by all vehicles.
